A companion to our manifesto. This is not a pitch; it is the physics of how we work.
Most companies run on "Process" (meetings, slides, consensus). Demand.io runs on AIOS (our proprietary AI Operating System). We do not hire people to pull levers; we hire people to design the machine.
This is the user manual for our shared brain.
1. The Core Philosophy: Context Engineering
In the AI era, the "Prompt Engineer" is a commodity. The Context Engineer is the master.
We reject the "Blueprints and Prose" of traditional management. We embrace the Computing Metaphor. We do not write documents to be "read" by humans; we write constraints to be "compiled" by Intelligence.
- The Shift: You do not "manage a project." You codify the logic that allows the system to execute the project at infinite scale.
- The Goal: We don't solve a problem once. We build the code that solves that class of problem forever.
2. The 10x Operator (Redefined for AI)
The term "10x Operator" is often misused to mean "works 10x harder." In our system, it means "creates 10x leverage."
- Architects, Not Just Builders: Your primary output isn't just a feature or a campaign; it's the reusable knowledge framework that allows AI to build the next ten features.
- Conductors, Not Soloists: You orchestrate AI as your workforce. You are the conductor, guiding AI systems to generate, test, and refine outcomes based on the strategic context you create.
- Compounding Velocity: You don't just complete a project; you make the entire operating system smarter. Your work creates a permanent advantage for the whole team.
3. Mental Models: How It Feels to Work Here
We don’t run on rigid rulebooks. We run on shared mental models that allow a small, elite team to adapt and execute in real-time.
- Think Like a Jazz Ensemble: We improvise together based on a shared understanding of the core principles (The Kernel), not a rigid script. You need to know the "Key," but you choose the notes.
- Move Like a Basketball Team: Everyone reads the floor and reacts in the moment. We trust our peers to adjust to the defense without waiting for a manager to call a timeout.
- Operate Like a Special Forces Unit: Small, autonomous, highly-skilled teams that thrive in uncertainty. Trust and competence are the foundation.
4. The Workflow: The Refinery
We view the company as a Neuro-Symbolic Engine: Humans provide the Intuition; The System provides the Rigor. We do not trust "Good Ideas." We trust Verified Truths.
The Loop:
- The Forge (Signal): You observe a problem and formulate a hypothesis.
- The Collision (Refinery): We do not blindly execute. We run your hypothesis through an adversarial review loop—smashing it against data and history to see if it holds up.
- The Commit (Law): If your idea survives the collision, it becomes part of our source code. It is merged into the Master Knowledge Graph, and the entire OS follows this new law automatically.
5. The Filter: Do Not Apply If...
This environment is engineered to be hostile to the "Average of the Internet". It is a feature, not a bug.
- You rely on Playbooks: If you look for a "Best Practice" template rather than deriving the solution from scratch.
- You crave Consensus: If you need everyone to agree before you act. We value Conviction over Consensus.
- You confuse Motion with Progress: If you measure your day by meetings attended rather than Truths Forged.
- You externalize failure: If you blame resources, timing, or "the market" for outcomes.
The Challenge
We are not offering a job. We are offering a seat on a Special Forces team building the Truth Layer of the internet.
This system requires you to throw away your resume (past titles) and show us your mind (current capability). It is designed to feel uncomfortable for those who seek structure, and deeply liberating for those capable of creating it.
If this manual reads like the operating system you were always meant to use, we expect to hear from you.
